Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec Anniversary Amid Strictly Changes

Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec Mark Eight Years of Marriage

Janette Manrara has offered fans a glimpse into her anniversary date night with husband Aljaz Skorjanec, as the couple navigates their diverging paths with Strictly Come Dancing. The pair, who married in 2017, celebrated eight years of marriage on Sunday, July 18, by attending Bruno Mars’ The Romantic Tour at Wembley Stadium.

Janette, 41, shared photos on Instagram of the evening, captioning the post: “Celebrated our anniversary w/ @brunomars and #TheRomanticTour. Just the two of, on a date night, celebrating love.” She thanked Experiences by Wembley Stadium for what she described as “a seriously great package to watch an epic show,” noting that the experience included dinner, drinks, and premium seats.

Janette Manrara Exits Strictly Come Dancing After 13 Years

The anniversary outing comes amid significant changes in the couple’s relationship with Strictly Come Dancing. Janette, who joined the BBC show as a professional dancer in 2013, confirmed last month that she is “no longer a part” of either the main show or its spin-off, It Takes Two. The 2026 series will be the first since 2013 that she has not been involved with.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, Janette explained: “Strictly Come Dancing has changed hugely, and I am no longer a part of It Takes Two or the main show. I’ll still be involved in other ways. But that just means that I’m free to pursue and do many other projects that I’ve always wanted to do and never really thought about doing. Strictly is all I’ve known for the last 14 years so it is a bit like, ‘Oh, we’re going into a different world, a different space, how are we going to navigate that?’”

Aljaz Skorjanec Remains Part of Strictly Pro Dancer Roster

In contrast, Aljaz Skorjanec, who initially left Strictly in 2022, returned in 2024 and reached the final with former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri. After competing with drag queen La Voix in 2025, Aljaz will be part of the 2026 professional dancer lineup, which has lost five members amid broader changes to the series.

The couple first met in 2010 while performing on the dance show Burn the Floor. They married in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Lyra Rose, in 2023.
