Jamie Foxx, 58, has become a father for the third time, welcoming his first child with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp, 31, three years after suffering his near-fatal stroke. Sources confirmed the news to People Magazine on Wednesday.

The Oscar-winning actor and comedian, who already has two daughters from previous relationships, began dating Huckstepp in 2023. The couple separated in January 2025 before rekindling their relationship.

Public confirmation and family background

Foxx publicly confirmed last month that another child was on the way during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in October, telling the host: 'I got a baby on the way… still got it!'

He is already father to Corinne Foxx, 32, whom he shares with former partner Connie Kline, and Anelise Bishop, 18, from his relationship with Kristin Grannis. The Django Unchained star also discussed becoming a father again as he approaches 60, joking about returning to the daily routine of taking a young child to school.

'I wasn't on the fence about it, but being 58… you know what I'm saying?' Foxx said, revealing that a conversation with fellow Hollywood actor Al Pacino, 86, helped put his situation into perspective. Pacino welcomed his son Roman with Noor Alfallah, 32, in 2023, when he was 83, becoming a father for the fourth time.

Relationship timeline and recovery

Foxx and Huckstepp were first romantically linked in 2023, following the end of his six-year relationship with Dawson's Creek actor Katie Holmes, 47, in 2019. Huckstepp, an Australian former fitness model, reportedly became particularly close to Foxx during his recovery from a serious medical emergency in April 2023.

In January 2025, a source close to the actor told People that the couple had separated after approximately 18 months together. They subsequently sparked speculation about a reconciliation when they were seen together in public in April. In May, TMZ reported Huckstepp was already several months into her pregnancy, although the couple had largely kept details of their relationship and preparations for the baby private.

Health crisis and family support

The reported birth marks another major development in Foxx's personal life following the health crisis that left him hospitalised in 2023. The actor was taken to hospital in April that year after suffering what his family initially described as a medical complication. He later revealed in his 2024 Netflix comedy special, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…, that he had suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

The medical emergency caused him to lose his memory for 20 days, an experience he discussed during the special while reflecting on his recovery and the support he received from his family. He has since also credited daughter Corinne with saving his life thanks to her resilience and tenacity, as well as her ability to keep a cool, calm head while fending off the public, sharing that his doctor had praised her response and told him 'she's the reason you're here' after the earliest days of his recovery.

Corinne has followed her father into the entertainment industry and has worked alongside him on the Fox musical game show Beat Shazam, while Anelise has also appeared publicly with her father during significant moments in his career. Metro has contacted reps for Foxx for confirmation.
