Jack Osbourne Recalls Father Ozzy's Final Moments: 'We Weren't Expecting It'

Jack Osbourne has opened up about the final hours of his father Ozzy Osbourne's life, describing the morning as calm and routine. The 40-year-old reality TV star spoke on comedian Jamie Kennedy's podcast Hate to Break It to Ya, revealing that the family did not anticipate the Black Sabbath frontman's death to come so quickly.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease and chronic back pain. His official cause of death was cardiac arrest, with Parkinson's listed as a contributing factor. Jack recalled that even on the morning of his death, Ozzy was active and had breakfast, showing no signs of an imminent end.

“It was a few days after I got back that he passed, and we were… even the morning that he passed, it was like, it wasn’t anything dramatic at all,” Jack said. “He was up, he was doing his thing, had some breakfast, and that was it.” Jack added that despite Ozzy's known health issues, the family was surprised by the timing, as Ozzy had been exercising and preparing for Black Sabbath's final show in Birmingham.
