Inside Laura Woods' Love Life: Rugby Ex to Love Island Fiancé

Laura Woods, the 38-year-old sports presenter from Dagenham, London, is a familiar face on ITV's coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which kicked off on June 11 and is jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. As the tournament progresses to the round of 32, Woods is co-presenting coverage on ITV and ITVX, including the Belgium vs. Senegal match on Wednesday at 9pm.

Career Highlights

Woods began her broadcasting career after graduating from Kingston University with a degree in print journalism. She worked as a runner at Sky Sports in 2009, eventually becoming a producer. She later hosted talkSPORT's breakfast show for three years, winning the ARIAS Best Speech Breakfast Show and the SJA Sports Presenter of the Year twice. She left talkSPORT in July 2023 to become lead presenter for TNT Sports' Champions League and boxing coverage, also working for DAZN and Amazon Prime Video.

Engagement to Love Island Star

Woods is engaged to former Love Island contestant Adam Collard, who proposed in 2024 in St Ives, Cornwall, where they "fell in love." They went public with their relationship in October 2023. In January 2025, they welcomed their first child, a son named Leo Ernie Collard. In May, Collard announced on Instagram that they are expecting baby number two, sharing a scan with the caption: "Hey, baby number 2."

Woods revealed she was pregnant while presenting Euro 2024 coverage on ITV but kept it private. She told The Times: "It was constant, the morning sickness was quite difficult to battle and I was exhausted all the time. It didn't matter how much sleep you actually got, you'd still be knackered."

Previous Relationship with Rugby Star

Before Collard, Woods was in an eight-year relationship with rugby player Alex Corbisiero, who played in two Lions Tests on the 2013 tour of Australia. Corbisiero was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2019 but announced in 2022 that he had been cancer-free for two years. He now works as a high-performance Scrum consultant and business growth director at ASM Sports.

Woods told The Sun the split was her decision and she had no regrets: "My last relationship was eight years and I was nearing 30 when we broke up. It was my decision – it was the right one, and I've never regretted it. We'd lived in each other's pockets, and breaking up with him felt like coming up for air." She added, "But I've prioritised work because I love that too and my ambitions are important to me."
