An Australian influencer has been branded 'privileged' after revealing she had been taking Ubers following the discovery of a bug in her car. Latisha Clark, 22, took to TikTok on Thursday to share a short clip showing her sitting in the passenger seat of a rideshare vehicle. She disclosed that she had abandoned her own car a week earlier after an insect had taken up residence inside.
'My dramatic a** in an Uber to the gym because I saw a bug in my car a week ago,' Latisha captioned the clip. The video drew a flurry of comments from fans, with some agreeing that she was being overly dramatic. 'How privileged,' one user wrote. Another chimed in with, 'A bug? That's it?' However, many jumped to her defence, recounting their own experiences with invading insects.
'You're not being dramatic,' one follower wrote. 'One time there was a spider in my room and I slept in the hallway for a month.' Another said a run-in with ants almost prompted a change of address. 'Found ants in my room a few days ago, so now I’ve stayed at my mother-in-law's house for 3 whole nights. I may just move in,' they commented. Another insectophobe added, 'You’re not being dramatic. I literally slept in the bathroom for a month because there was a bug in my room.' Yet another admitted to sleeping in a tent to avoid a millipede. 'You're not being dramatic, don’t worry. I found a millipede on my quilt so I slept outside in the tent,' they wrote, to which Latisha replied: 'HAHAHAHA OMG.'
Latisha, who boasts 3.9 million followers on TikTok, is the daughter of controversial TikTok star Kat Clark. In September, Kat hit back after being called 'irresponsible' for allowing her youngest daughter, Deja, 15, to fly solo across the US. Kat, who moved to America in 2024 with husband Jonathan and Deja, defended her decision on social media. She allowed Deja to fly to another state to attend a concert with friends, explaining that she was different from her daughter at that age.
'So, a lot of people have made it clear that they don't like my style of parenting. Recently Deja took her first solo flight to another state to attend a concert with her friends,' Kat said. 'Deja is 14 about to turn 15, and when I think about myself at her age, we were not the same. If you guys only knew what I did at 14, 15, 16 - I mean, I was pregnant at 16, you can only imagine.' She added that coming from a strict household prompted her to take a more relaxed approach with her children. 'That's not to say we don't have rules – we definitely have rules, but we're more open, I guess,' she said. 'When I was a teen I ran away from home several times and my parents had no idea where I was.' Kat added that all bases were covered before Deja's departure. 'Deja went away, I knew where she was all the time, I knew the parents, I had their contact details,' she said. 'In my opinion, having a child that feels comfortable enough to ask me...to go, instead of hiding things from me, that's the kind of relationship I want with my kid.'
