Former I'm A Celebrity star and Paralympian Kadeena Cox OBE has been rushed to hospital, sharing a picture from the Accident & Emergency department with her followers on social media.
The 35-year-old, who appeared on the ITV show in 2021, posted a selfie on Instagram, where she has 186,000 followers, with the caption: "Sat in A&E... Have a feeling this is gonna be a long a*s day, and I didn't pick up my headphones."
Kadeena, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014 at the age of 23 after previously suffering a stroke, later returned to her Instagram Stories with a video showing her inflamed stomach.
Doctor's Advice and Home Remedy
In the video, she said: "Seeing as the A&E doctor's advice was purely to take paracetamol, I'm going with mummy's advice." She explained that she had applied castor oil to her belly button and rubbed some into the painful area.
Captioning the post, she wrote: "You have w pretty large fibroids in there for someone who asked. Waiting to see my gynae as they aren't new unlike the pain which only started a week or so ago."
Past Struggles on Reality TV
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, Kadeena was one of the campmates who swapped the Australian jungle for Gwrych Castle in North Wales. During her time there, she needed help getting to the toilet and struggled with fatigue.
She said: "I thought my MS would be nice to me. Turns out MS is never nice to you, so I really struggled with the fatigue and my spasms were being quite a problem, and there was points where my speech was really slurred and everyone was really worried about me."
Kadeena added: "There was times when literally the campmates had to help me get into bed, they had to help me get to the toilet, and it was a real struggle."
Challenges in Lapland
She also faced setbacks while filming The Celebrity Apprentice in Lapland, where she returned with a walking stick specially designed for the snow thanks to assistance from the team.
Speaking about the experience, she said: "It was absolutely freezing in Lapland, and they said it wasn't that cold. They were like, it's like warm for them, normally in the snow, it's colder." She noted that her wheelchair and snow didn't mix well, and she struggled with the cold and her MS.
Reflecting on the support she received, Kadeena added: "Everyone was amazing, but Rob [Rinder], bless him! This is one of the moments where I'll actually say Rob Rinder is a great friend and advocate. He was just like, 'Kadeena need help with this', because he saw me struggling. The cold and my MS don't go together very well. So I was really struggling to walk. My spasms have got quite bad."
