The Real Housewives of Atlanta have touched down in Scotland for a special Traitors-inspired birthday trip for Phaedra Parks, and as expected, they have brought plenty of drama with them. The 17th season episode, which aired on Sunday, June 28, showed the 52-year-old returning to Scotland three years after her stint on the US version of The Traitors.
Arrival in Scotland
The housewives partied on the plane before landing at Edinburgh Airport and heading to the luxurious Gilmerton House in North Berwick, East Lothian. The historical 10-bed mansion set the stage for drama and fallouts reminiscent of a Traitors-like experience. Upon arrival, the group was greeted by a female bagpiper and TikTok viral Scotsman Torgi Squire, known as starboysobersfitness online, dressed in a kilt.
Phaedra's Love for Scotland
The housewives fussed over Torgi as Phaedra told the camera: "I love Scotland because of the Traitors. I had a wonderful experience, it was very iconic." She added: "Scotland is the perfect place for my birthday celebration because it's rich with history, royalty, castles, beautiful men, Sean Connery, kilts." Phaedra starred on the second series of the US version of The Traitors, hosted by Alan Cumming, in 2023, filmed at Ardross Castle near Inverness. She became one of the most iconic Traitors in the show's history due to her sharp humour and strategic gameplay. One of her most memorable moments came when she told Peter Weber from Bachelor Nation at the round table: "What you might have forgot Peter is this is not the Bachelor and I don't have to kiss your a** for a rose."
Drama Among the Housewives
Fellow housewife Porsha Williams also starred on The US Traitors earlier this year but had a different experience, being the first Faithful player banished from the castle. In the Real Housewives episode, Porsha and Shamea Morton are finally forced to confront their fallout after avoiding it all season. Despite sharing rooms, dinners, and flights, neither seems interested in a real conversation. Meanwhile, Angela Oakley and Shamea's feud has escalated into its own war.
