High Potential star Matthew Lamb, 14, has been flooded with support from his co-stars following the death of his mother Merideth on Saturday, October 17. The teenager, who has played Elliot Radovic, the son of Kaitlin Olson's Morgan Gillroy, since the show began in 2024, confirmed his mum's death in an emotional Instagram post.
Alongside a carousel of pictures of the pair in happier times, he wrote: "I'm not quite sure how to write this. As I'm sure many of you know, my mama passed away this Saturday. She was everything to me. She taught me school, she taught me empathy, she did everything for our family."
He continued: "She always had the biggest smile and she gave the best hugs. Truly the most selfless person I know. It still doesn't feel real. I'm not sure it ever will. She loved and supported everyone authentically. I'm not sure how we're going to get through this, but we're going to try."
Heartbreaking Tribute
Lamb added: "Every day I'm going to miss telling her about my day, and talking to her and watching our favorite shows. This isn't something I ever thought I would have to do. There's so much she is going to miss in my life, but I'm grateful for the things she was able to experience."
He concluded the post simply writing: "I love you, Mama."
Co-Stars Offer Support
His co-stars were quick to offer their support, with on-screen mother Kaitlin Olson leading the tributes, commenting on his post and promising to be there for him.
"Your mama was such a gift, Matthew. She simply overflowed with joy and kindness…and the way she lit up when she looked at you….that can't ever be taken away. You are forever her pride and joy. I am here for you forever," she promised.
Judy Reyes, who plays Lieutenant Selena Soto, shared: "We saw where you got your shine! I'm so so sorry."

I'm so deeply sorry for this… no words will adequately make this hurt any less. Just know you have a lot of people who will be here for you, and step up when you need us. I'm grateful we got to meet her.. I'm grateful we got to see her beautiful heart, and experience her kindness, even for a brief moment. I'll be praying for you… now and always. She is SO proud of you… always will be. My heart goes out to you all…" she said.
