Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has admitted she is feeling "frustrated" with the lack of job opportunities coming her way. The 35-year-old, who played Rosie Webster on the iconic soap from 2011 to 2018, opened up in a candid Instagram video about her current struggles.
Personal and Professional Challenges
Helen is also grappling with personal difficulties after being forced to move out of her Lancashire family home following her split from ex-partner Scott Sinclair in 2022. The property recently sold for just shy of £1 million. The couple now co-parent their three children: Matilda, 10, Delilah, 7, and Charlie, 4.
In her video, Helen shared: "I really have been kind of quiet on my social. I've just kind of felt like not sure… I've not really been sure of myself recently. I kind of feel like… I'm turning 36 in August, I've just done this house move, I really want to act and basically I just want a job at the moment and I feel frustrated in that way."
Social Media and Creativity
Helen added that she hasn't felt as creative lately and that posting on social media has made her feel "anxious." She explained: "I have worked on social media, and it's been my job, like I worked on social media from 28 until, well I am nearly 36, and I genuinely really loved it. I loved the creativity of it and self expression and working with other women, I've genuinely really really enjoyed it."
She continued by saying she has been through a "lot of change" which has left her feeling "weird," and she is unsure whether to relocate her family. Helen confessed: "I'm in two minds about moving to London. I was going to buy here then I decided not to buy here so everything's just been a bit, like, all over the place."
Co-Parenting Struggles
This comes after Helen recently opened up about the difficulties of co-parenting with the former footballer. She felt down after spending a week with him over Easter. She said: "I definitely don't think it gets easier sharing your children, it really doesn't, but there's so many of us that are in these situations and it can be really tricky."
