Helen Flanagan Admits She Can 'Barely Leave the House' in Candid Confession
Helen Flanagan: 'I Barely Leave the House'

Helen Flanagan has candidly revealed that she can 'barely leave the house', admitting that balancing work and raising her children has made dating and socialising increasingly difficult.

Fame and Relationships

Speaking openly about how fame has affected her personal relationships, the actress confessed that finding time to meet new people is a challenge, explaining that much of her life revolves around either her career or caring for her family.

'One hundred percent,' she said in collaboration with Paddy Power, when asked whether fame has impacted her relationships. 'I find dating difficult. I barely leave the house because I’m either working or looking after my children.'

Forcing Herself to Go Out

Despite enjoying spending time at home, Helen revealed she has been making a conscious effort to get out more often.

'I’ve started forcing myself to go out more because I know I should,' she explained. 'I’m only 35, but sometimes when you’ve got children you naturally become more of a homebody. A lot of the time I’d genuinely rather stay at home.'

Romantic and Emotional

The former soap star also described herself as someone who loves deeply and isn’t afraid to embrace her emotions.

'I’m very emotional and very romantic, so if I’m in love, I’m really in love,' she shared. 'Everything feels very intense.'

Signature Glamour

Away from her love life, Helen joked that one thing she’ll never compromise on is her signature glamorous appearance, proudly embracing what she calls her 'very northern' approach to beauty.

'I’m also extremely glamorous in a very northern way,' she said. 'No matter what’s happening in my life, I’ll always have my French manicure, hair extensions, blow dry and glam done. I genuinely don’t think I’d ever go on a night out without eyelashes on. I’m very northern like that.'

Future Plans

While television and acting have long been at the centre of her career, Helen admitted she has thought about what she might do if she stepped away from the industry in the future.

Her answer reflects another side of her personality, revealing a passion for caring for young people beyond her own family.

'I absolutely love children,' she said. 'When I’m older, I think fostering could be something lovely to do. I’ve always adored kids.'
