Hayden Panettiere Posed Naked for Peta Before Death

Hayden Panettiere posed without any clothes on just weeks before she tragically died. The actress, known for her roles in Heroes and Nashville, died on Sunday 16 August after she was found "unresponsive" in an Airbnb.

Peta Campaign Details

In the pictures, Hayden stripped off for a Peta campaign wearing absolutely nothing as she leaned on the side of a large white bathtub. The background was completely black as her long blonde hair tumbled over the edge.

Peta, which stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, shared her message with the world: "Imagine spending your entire life in a bathtub. That’s what it’s like for dolphins and whales in tiny tanks at marine amusement parks."

She continued: "Can you imagine their frustration, their trauma, their depression? All that’s important and crucial for their well-being is ripped away. They swim in endless circles, day after day, year after year, in front of gawking, screaming spectators, often being poked and prodded."

Peta Statement and Final Hours

Peta wrote on Instagram: "Hayden Panettiere became a household name playing a hero on TV, but in real life she was a hero to animals. You can hear the emotion in her voice as she urges others to stand with her and help end this cruelty."

A Peta rep told Page Six that the video had been shot on 22 July and that Hayden was "wonderful" while on set.

Before her death she had reportedly been staying at an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina with her on-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson. It's understood Brian and his brother Zach were at the scene when she died, and new details have now emerged about Hayden's final hours. According to TMZ, Zach found the actress in an armchair at around 1.30pm on Sunday, when Brian was asleep in a bedroom inside the apartment.
