Meghan Markle marked her 45th birthday with a playful video of herself dancing around the kitchen in pyjamas and a tiara, while Prince Harry could be heard letting out a weary "oh dear" in the background.
The Duchess of Sussex, who turned 45 on 4 August, wore a baggy t-shirt reading "It's Giving Mrs" as she waltzed through the kitchen of the couple's California mansion to a birthday tune, before disappearing behind a cluster of balloons.
Dog party hat fail
In another clip, the couple attempted to place mini party hats on their dogs, Mamma Mia and Pula, who looked far from impressed. Meghan eventually gave up, saying: "Oh no, okay, let's take it off. I'm sorry."
The family spent the rest of the day relaxing at their Montecito estate with their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five.
Pool snaps and As Ever plug
On social media, the Duchess thanked fans for the "birthday love" and shared black-and-white photos of herself jumping into a swimming pool while holding balloons.
She also raised eyebrows by appearing to wish herself a happy birthday on her As Ever brand account, posting throwback photos and promoting her candle line with the message: "Happy birthday to our founder, Meghan" and "Lighting No. 084 to celebrate!"
UK reunion
The birthday antics follow a low-key family trip to Europe, which included a stop in Portugal, where the couple are rumoured to be buying a holiday home near Princess Eugenie, and a discreet visit to the UK.
During their time in Britain, Harry and Meghan had a historic hour-long tea with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove — the first time the Monarch had seen his daughter-in-law and grandchildren since 2022.
