Gordon Ramsay has opened up about his mixed emotions as he prepares to become a grandfather for the first time. The celebrity chef's daughter, Holly Ramsay-Peaty, 26, announced on June 20 that she and her husband, Olympic swimmer Adam Ramsay-Peaty, are expecting their first child, a baby girl due in December 2026.

Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Ramsay discussed cooking with host Gary Lineker, who noted they both are about to become grandparents. Ramsay exclaimed, 'How exciting is that?!' but added, 'I am secretly petrified because until they can talk and communicate with you, you can't do much, we're not going to f***ing breastfeed, are we?'
Holly shared the pregnancy news on Instagram with a photo of her and Adam, captioning it: 'Baby Ramsay-Peaty coming December 2026. We can't wait to meet our baby girl.' Ramsay commented under the post: 'Congratulations to you both sending lots of love Dad. I'm going to be a very over excited Grandad especially this Christmas.'
Family Tensions
While the Ramsay family celebrates, Adam's estranged relatives reportedly learned of the pregnancy via social media. A source told the Mail that Adam's mother, Caroline, received a 'brief and to the point' text as Holly posted the news. Caroline, who was on holiday, said: 'I am happy for them. News of a new baby is always welcome.' However, the source described the rift between Adam and his family as 'beyond healing.'
Last year, Adam uninvited his family to his wedding to Holly at Bath Abbey on December 27. Caroline previously claimed Adam was 'under Gordon's clutches,' stating: 'I know he feels I am not good enough for his new family. He's under Gordon's clutches. I can't help but feel like they are pulling him away from me.'
