Goldie Hawn to Receive Power of a Wish Award at Make-A-Wish Gala

Goldie Hawn will be honoured with the Power of a Wish Award at the Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles Wish Gala on 5 December at the Fairmont Century Plaza. Her son, actor Oliver Hudson, will present the award.

In a statement, Hawn said: 'My life has always been guided by the pursuit of joy. Children embody that joy so naturally, yet I’ve also seen how stress and uncertainty can dim their light. When a child feels overwhelmed, even dreaming can seem out of reach. These children have tackled challenges with such bravery and determination, and are so deserving of the hope a wish experience can bring. I’m proud to accept the Power of a Wish Award to help Make-A-Wish deliver more joy to those families who need it most.'

Anthony Anderson will host the gala, which will feature a performance by Finneas. The event aims to raise funds to grant 100 life-changing wishes for families in the Greater Los Angeles area. Disney executive Sally Hopkins Conner will also be honoured with the Philanthropic Leader Award for her decade-long support, including serving as board chair and producing pro bono commercials.
