Former Gogglebox star Joe Baggs has surprised his fans by dressing as Katie Price for Halloween. The TV star, who found fame when he and his family appeared on the Channel 4 telly-watching series from 2020 to 2022 and has since gone onto a successful career in presenting, decided he would transform into modelling icon Katie, 48, and impressed his followers with the striking result.
Recreating Katie's NTA Look
He chose a very specific version of Katie, recreating her look from the National TV Awards in September. He wrote: "Threw an ICONS themed Halloween party and it was only right to honour the the legend that is @katieprice" before adding a black heart emoji.
He added: "When I was planning the look for this party and thinking about cultural moments this year, Katie’s look with @mmmmitchell for the NTA’s red carpet was something that blew me away and I thought WE HAVE TO RECREATE THIS. Thank you to @awhora for the most insane transformation. You had everyone GAGGED and a huge thank you to @nyxcosmetics_uk for supporting my crazy. This is only the beginning of my Halloween endeavours"
Fans and Celebrities React
Fans were quick to react to the post and applaud the TikTok star's efforts. One fan wrote: "I actually had to double take cos I thought it was Katie, Sooooo good, mic drop," and another said: "JOE this is everythingggg." A third simply wrote: "Scary."
Several celebrities also weighed into the comments section, with TOWIE legend Gemma Collins writing: "AMAZING," and leaving behind a string of red heart emojis. Waterloo Road star Chelsee Healey said: "You Win" Loose Women panellist Olivia Attwood said: "Just so so so good," whilst drag queens Baga Chipz and Danny Beard also praised the look.
Presenter Luis Elkes said: "I've been waiting for this. SO SO GOOD," and X Factor duo Jedward said: "This is culture." Katie was tagged in the post and in the comments section but has yet to acknowledge it.
Joe's Rise on Social Media
Consisting of mum, Lisa, dad, Terry, and brothers Joe and George, the Baggs family- from Essex - joined the Gogglebox show during series 16 in 2020. Following their exit in 2022, Joe has major fame on social media and has made several TV appearances, including presenting gigs on ITV’s Lorraine and This Morning.
Joe has really taken advantage of his Gogglebox platform, and used it to amass a huge following on TikTok. Right now, he has 2.2 million followers and 203.9 million likes, which has led to him bagging a slew of brand deals. These include big names like Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, Burger King and Fanta. As well as a huge following on TikTok, Joe also has a cool 386k Instagram followers, too.
And earlier this year, Joe fronted a brand-new Britain’s Got Talent spin-off show. He said in a statement: “I’ve been watching Britain’s Got Talent with my family for as long as I can remember, so it’s a real ‘pinch me’ moment to be joining as the official digital presenter this series. I’m excited for viewers to join me on the DFS sofa to get all the unbelievable backstage gossip from the live shows. We’ll be first with the news from the BGT semi-finalists in the run-up to the all-important live final. It’s going to be glorious chaos.”
