Frankie Muniz Deletes Divorce Post After Wife Defends Him

Frankie Muniz, the 40-year-old actor best known for playing the title role in Malcolm in the Middle, has deleted his initial social media post announcing his divorce from Paige Price after facing fan backlash. The couple, who have been married for six years and share a five-year-old son named Mauz, are ending their marriage but emphasize they remain close friends and co-parents.

Backlash Over Dance Video Announcement

Muniz initially posted a video of himself, Price, and their son dancing to We the Kings' 2007 track "Check Yes, Juliet" in an aerial-style view. The caption read: "Who says you can't stay best friends with your Baby Momma?" Followers criticized the lighthearted approach, prompting Muniz to remove the post.

Price quickly came to his defense, writing: "Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you. This world is so f*****! Divorce is bad, sure - but we're two adults, it's not like we're excited about it but we're two adults who know how to be on the same team. I can't believe people would scrutinize that."

Official Divorce Statement

Following the deletion, Muniz posted a lengthy statement on X (formerly Twitter) and shared it alongside a new post. He wrote: "Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage."

"After 10 beautiful years together, we've grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents. We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared."

Gratitude and Future Plans

Muniz expressed gratitude toward Price, saying: "I'm endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she’s done for me and our family. She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter." He added that their "foundation of respect and friendship isn’t going anywhere" and that they are "excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to co-parent our boy with the same teamwork and love we’ve always had."

The couple met in 2016 and married in 2020. Muniz transitioned from acting to professional race car driving in recent years. Fans who saw the original video expressed support, with one commenting: "I'm glad I got to see the first one right before it disappeared. It was so cute." Another wrote: "I thought the video was very sweet and hopeful. You guys are a great family no matter what and will always be family."
