Emmerdale fans are convinced that Jimmy King's murder is sealed and the killer is not Sadie King, but his own wife Nicola. The theory has emerged on a Facebook fan page, where viewers speculate that Nicola could be the one to kill him.
Fan Theory Points to Nicola
Jimmy (Nick Miles) has been a staple on the ITV soap since 2004 and has become a beloved character. His storylines have included his marriage to Nicola (Nicola Wheeler), being stabbed, and various business ventures. In May, reports suggested Jimmy would be killed off, with speculation linking his exit to the return of his ex-wife Sadie King (Patsy Kensit).
Producer Laura Shaw confirmed Patsy's return, saying her comeback is "guaranteed to shock." Patsy also revealed that Sadie has a "big secret" involving the King family. However, fans think the killer could be someone else entirely.
Nicola as the Killer
On the fan page, one person said: "Nicola to kill Jimmy, you heard it here first." Another added: "Maybe. It’s too obvious to be Sadie." A third commented: "Can’t see Nicola committing a cold-blooded murder but maybe she kills him by accident?"
Nicola and Jimmy have recently gone through a rough patch, with Nicola trying to reignite their marriage. The theory suggests she could be driven to murder.
Jimmy's Tragic History
Jimmy's time in the village has been marked by tragedy, having lost all his brothers and his father. He has also weathered the collapse of his marriage to Sadie before marrying Nicola and having children later in life. In 2024, he was involved in a storyline where his nephew Tom (James Chase) abused Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), and Jimmy eventually stood by Belle during Tom's trial.
