Ekin-Su has addressed her fans after a tense interview on the Celebrity Big Brother aftershow Late & Live, where she clashed with panellist Layton Williams. The Love Island winner, who became the fourth housemate evicted on Friday, faced criticism over her treatment of Marisha Wallace and her nomination of Louis Walsh.
During the interview, Williams accused Ekin-Su of hypocrisy for reacting badly to Wallace's nomination after she herself had nominated Walsh. When Ekin-Su suggested producers had edited out key moments, Williams retorted: 'You're not going to blame it on the edit, girl. We see what we see and it's a shame.'
In a post-episode interview on Celebrity Big Brother's social channels, Ekin-Su thanked fans who saw her 'genuine side' and said she was 'hurt that I wasn't portrayed as myself on the show'. Host AJ Odudu responded: 'You don't know what's been seen or what's been said, but I can assure you that everything that has been seen and has been said has been said by you.'
After the fallout with Wallace aired, a message on Ekin-Su's X/Twitter page condemned 'hateful comments, trolling, name calling and physical abuse threats', adding that 'nobody deserves this behaviour'. The exchange began when Wallace explained her nomination, saying she believed Ekin-Su's previous reality TV experience gave her an advantage.
