DJ Luck and MC Neat Perform Viral 90s Hit at Lotto's Café Launch

DJ Luck and MC Neat brought 'a little bit of luck' to the luckiest café in London, launching its opening with an exclusive music set. The UK duo, who dominated the garage scene in the 1990s and 2000s, kicked things off by performing their 1999 smash 'A Little Bit of Luck', which sold 250,000 copies back in the day.

The pair helped unveil Two Yolks: Lotto's Luckiest Café, an immersive brunch pop-up celebrating Lotto's thrilling new format, where every £2 line now offers players two opportunities to win. The track has recently exploded on social media thanks to a fresh TikTok 'Trudy Knight' craze, where users lip-sync to Molly-Mae Hague's voiceover.

Alongside their massive 90s anthem, they also delivered an uplifting set of 'lucky' and 'winning' numbers, a perfect tribute as research shows nearly half of adults (44%) have go-to songs or playlists when they want to feel lucky or lift their spirits.

Duo's Excitement About the Launch

Speaking about the launch at Old Queen Street Café in Westminster, DJ Luck and MC Neat said: 'Opening Two Yolks: Lotto's Luckiest Café was a no-brainer for us - luck is literally in the name. We came down to bring the good vibes, play a few lucky tunes and give everyone a little bit of luck to start their day off right.'

'The atmosphere was wicked, serving up good energy from start to finish - from double-yolk brunches, surprise prizes, to people singing along and getting into the lucky spirit. The whole place had that feeling of good things coming in twos, which made it the perfect way to kick off Lotto's new two-chances-to-win era.'

Luck and Pairs in British Culture

Over 18 million UK adults consider themselves lucky, with 40% believing that small signs of luck can influence how the rest of their day goes. Taking inspiration from the idea that luck has always liked company, the café has been created to celebrate the small everyday signs that make people feel fortune might just be on their side, from spotting two magpies and angel numbers such as 11:11 to witnessing double rainbows and cracking double-yolk eggs.

OnePoll.com research showed Brits already have faith in the magic of pairs, with four in 10 believing positive things frequently arrive in twos, while 65% say having another opportunity makes them feel more hopeful. But when it comes to keeping luck on side, people are taking no chances as 36% admit they avoid speaking too positively too early, while 26% have even delayed sharing good news in case it's too good to be true.

Café Open to the Public

Following today's launch, Two Yolks: Lotto's Luckiest Café is open to the public until Saturday 13th June, with limited walk-ins available for guests hoping to tuck into a menu inspired by the idea that some things simply feel better in twos. The café's luck-themed menu includes a classic double-yolk fry-up, a pair of brioche pastries inspired by a Bakewell tart, and a winner-winner chicken schnitzel, with one £2 ticket admitting two guests.
