Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell was moved to tears as she shared an adorable moment with her son Bowden in her latest YouTube vlog. The dancer, who returned to work for the first time since his arrival, documented the emotional encounter.
Return to work
Dianne, who welcomed her first child with partner Joe Sugg in March, had posted a photo on Instagram last week ahead of her return to work for the 2026 series of Strictly. In the image, her baby boy rested on her shoulder, and she wrote: "First day back at work [face holding back tears emoji]. Mummy will miss you so much, my boy [heart emoji]."
Now, in her latest vlog, she has shared her first week back, culminating in a touching moment when she believed Bowden said "mum" for the first time.
Emotional moment
In the video, Dianne is seen standing over her son, tears filling her eyes as she says: "I think he just said mum." She repeated: "I swear, guys. I swear he said mum," as she tried to get him to repeat it.
Celebrating, she said: "It's definitely mom. Oh my god," before turning to Bowden and saying: "Come here, you little cutie! I'm going to cuddle you so much." Later, with her son in a sling, she told the camera: "Oh my god. But I'm literally like so overwhelmed with emotion right now because he keeps saying mum. I'm so overwhelmed."
She added: "I know like I've heard him say 'mum mum mum' kind of like I keep thinking he's saying it like he's not really saying it. He's looking at me like, 'What's going on?'" Turning to her baby boy, she emotionally said: "You keep saying 'mum mum mum' and you're making mummy so happy!"
Fans react
The moment left fans emotional too. One commented: "When you cried, I cried! He really is such a cute baby." Another said: "Oh my goodness, Bowden saying mama is the cutest, no wonder you got so emotional, he's so clever, love your vlogs Dianne!" A third wrote: "Mummm Mummm.. I was crying, too."
A viewer also shared: "Oh Dianne, that last bit with you and Bowie had me in a flood of tears. Motherhood definitely is a love that is just the most magical feeling in the world." Another added: "I’m crying with you, Dianne, it’s such a special moment. Bowden is so adorable."
