Dennis Quaid has described his marriage to Laura Savoie as 'paradise', saying the 32-year-old is the 'light of my life'. The 71-year-old actor, who wed Savoie in 2020, told Fox News Digital: 'My life is paradise. Every day is paradise with her. It really is.'
Quaid, known for films such as Far from Heaven and The Parent Trap, acknowledged the 39-year age gap but said he does not dwell on it. 'I haven't spoken out about the age difference of my wife. Other people have. But...I really don't think about it,' he said. 'She's got so much going on that, you know, I just don't notice it. She's just, she's the light of my life.'
The couple tied the knot in a secret beach ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, in June 2020, after originally planning a lavish Hawaiian wedding that was scuppered by Covid-19 restrictions. Quaid said of the day: 'Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride.'
Savoie is Quaid's fourth wife. He was previously married to P.J. Soles, Meg Ryan, with whom he has son Jack, and Kimberly Buffington, with whom he shares twins Thomas and Zoe. Quaid also spoke about his daughter Zoe, who was working as a camp counsellor in Texas during recent flash floods, confirming she was safe.
