Cybill Shepherd Opens Up About Bruce Willis Reconciliation: 'He Means So Much to Me'

Cybill Shepherd, now 76, has reflected on her complex relationship with former 'Moonlighting' co-star Bruce Willis, revealing that the two have reconciled after years of tension. Speaking at the 2026 Race to Erase MS Gala on June 5, Shepherd told HELLO! that Willis is 'so important' to her, adding: 'I took everything that I did on Moonlighting very personally.'

The hit 1980s dramedy series, which blended mystery and comedy, faced production challenges due to scheduling conflicts and heavy workloads, leading to frequent reruns. Despite the off-camera difficulties, Shepherd confirmed that she and Willis mended fences in 2022, before his diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). 'We want to make sure we celebrate what we went through together,' she said.

Shepherd attended the gala to support multiple sclerosis research, a cause close to her heart as her daughter Clementine has been diagnosed with MS. The event, founded by Nancy Davis, raised $1.8 million for the 'Center Without Walls' collaborative medical program, which has contributed to 25 FDA-approved treatments over 33 years.

The gala featured performances by Ty Dolla Sign, Richie Sambora, and Rachel Platt, as well as a fashion show by L'Agence and a dance performance by 'Dancing With The Stars' professionals Alan Bersten and Emma Slater. Notable attendees included Jane Seymour, Virginia Madsen, Carmen Electra, Kathy Hilton, and Jesse Palmer. A live auction saw Dana Walden, President of The Walt Disney Company, bid $25,000 for an Australian doodle puppy named Daisy, which was gifted to colleague Tanya Menton.
