Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd and his wife Hanni Treweek have announced the arrival of their first child, a daughter named Constance Ita Shepherd, born on 26 June. The couple shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting photos of the newborn’s hand wrapped around theirs, with only a glimpse of her head and ear visible. The caption read: 'Our beautiful baby girl has arrived, born peacefully at home, surrounded by love.'

Shepherd, who has portrayed David Platt on the ITV soap since 2000, received an outpouring of congratulations from his co-stars. Wedding at Manchester Cathedral
The couple married in Manchester Cathedral in July 2025. In a post after their wedding, Treweek wrote: 'Introducing Mr & Mrs Shepherd. Words cannot describe how beautiful yesterday was for us – it was more than perfect. The love & energy in the room (and outside) was incredible – our hearts are truly full. Thank you so much to you all – it means the world to us. Love is all you need x.'
