Coronation Street star Andy Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, marked his son Tom's 18th birthday with a series of family photos on Instagram, and the post made the significant height difference between the pair clear.
Andy, 45, shared several sweet family snaps alongside a message that read: "Today you turn 18 @tomwhyment. Just want you to know that we couldn’t be any prouder of the man you’ve become."
The soap star added: "Happy Birthday son, have the best day. We love you very much."

Andy's famous friends and followers took to the comments to wish Tom a happy birthday. His Corrie co-star Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, posted heart emojis.
Myles Stephenson, Andy's former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! campmate, wrote: "The big dog. Happy birthday king T."

Andy shares son Tom and daughter Hollie, 15, with his wife Nichola Willis. The couple tied the knot back in 2007.
Andy recently spoke to fans on TikTok about what it's like shooting scenes for the soap. Asked about his typical work day, he said: "Depends on how many scenes you’ve got."
He explained: "Sometimes you might just have one and are only in work for a couple of hours, but then you get days where you have five or more scenes and you’re in all day, my earliest call time is 7.40 and can be in until 18.45."
