Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd and his wife Hanni Treweek have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Constance Ita Shepherd. The couple shared the news on Instagram, posting pictures of their newborn and expressing their joy.

In a heartfelt social media post, the couple wrote: 'Our beautiful baby girl has arrived, born peacefully at home, surrounded by love.' Jack, 38, and Hanni, 37, tied the knot last year after meeting on the set of Coronation Street, where Hanni worked as a storyliner and Jack plays the iconic character David Platt.

Friends and colleagues were quick to offer their congratulations. Chris Hughes commented: 'Well done the pair of you.' Georgia Taylor wrote: 'Oh darling! So thrilled for you both and what a beautiful name.' Sue Devaney added: 'Gorgeous beautiful little girl and what a wonderful name. Congratulations Hanni and Jack! Can't wait to meet her.' Gareth Pierce and Sally Dynevor also shared their warm wishes.
Previous relationships and children
Jack is already a father to three children from previous relationships. He has a daughter and a son with ex-partner Lauren Shippey, whom he split with in 2017. He also has a son with Sammy Milewski, for whom he pays child support following a paternity test.
Break from Coronation Street
Earlier this month, Jack announced he would be taking a break from the long-running soap, having played David Platt for over 26 years since joining in 2000. His recent storylines have involved dealing with the manipulative Jodie Ramsey, his sister-in-law, who has been trying to destroy his marriage to Shona Platt. He has also been supporting his brother Nick Tilsley, whose son Sam is dealing with mental health issues.
