Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd, known for playing David Platt, has received an outpouring of support from fans and friends after marking his first Christmas as a married man. The 37-year-old tied the knot with his wife Hanni earlier this year in Manchester, following a proposal on a dream safari holiday.
Jack shared a festive photo on social media showing the couple in front of a Christmas tree, with Hanni's wedding ring visible in another snap. Hanni captioned the post: 'Our first Christmas as Mr & Mrs Shepherd. We hope you all had a magical one.' The post was flooded with messages, with one fan writing: 'Beautiful photos, beautiful couple.'
Jack joined Coronation Street in 2000 at age 12 and has since been involved in major storylines, including pushing his mother down the stairs and a suicide plot. Currently, his character David is expecting a child with wife Shona, but their unborn daughter has a tumour on her neck requiring high-risk surgery.
Further drama is expected as Coronation Street crosses over with Emmerdale in a multi-vehicle pile-up. Actor Jacob Roberts described the episode as 'chaotic', with multiple twists and no time to focus on one story.
