Coronation Street Spoiler: Sarah Platt Arrested for Theo Silverton Murder
Corrie Spoiler: Sarah Platt Arrested for Theo's Murder

Judgment day has arrived on Coronation Street. A sweet family moment for the Platts is interrupted when police break down the door and arrest Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) on suspicion of murder. It has been a long time coming. Ever since Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) was found dead, fans have wondered whodunnit. After teasing six suspects, Coronation Street revealed that Sarah was the killer all along.

The Night of the Murder

On the night in question, Theo cornered a terrified Sarah on the scaffolding above the flat he shared with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce). Sarah feared for Todd's welfare and tried to convince Theo to reveal Todd's location. Theo turned nasty, bringing up Sarah's past relationship with Todd and the baby they lost. In a rage, Sarah picked up a metal pipe and swung it at Theo, causing him to fall to his death on the Cobbles.

Sarah's Attempts to Conceal the Crime

Since that night, Sarah has watched other residents face police questioning, including Todd, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), and Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson). She was even willing to let suspicion fall on her ex-boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North), who helped her dispose of the body. This strained her relationship with her boyfriend, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), the investigating officer. Sarah let everyone think she and Gary were having an affair, leading to a confrontation with Maria (Samia Longchambon) during a dinner party.

Confession and Arrest

Sarah confessed the truth about Theo's murder only to Kit, who planned to frame Gary to protect her. However, secrets have a way of surfacing. Now, after 23 years on the cobbles, Sarah faces serious prison time. In a sneak-peak video, police barge into the Platt home and arrest Sarah. The scene begins with Sarah, David (Jack P Shepherd), Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), and Harry (Joshua Leavy) making a family video, only to discover David didn't press record. As Sarah prepares to leave, a police officer breaks open the door with a battering ram. DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) arrives and says, 'Sarah Platt, I am arresting you on the suspicion of Theo Silverton.' Sarah is handcuffed in front of her family, a devastating moment.
