Coronation Street fans have made a major prediction for Brody Michaelis' future as he was seen sharing emotional scenes with his dad, Kit Green, amid his cancer diagnosis.
Those who follow the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, will recall that Brody's arrival came as fellow teen Dylan Wilson was sentenced to six months in the Secure Training Centre (STC) by a judge for owning the knife, which eventually killed Mason Radcliffe in shocking scenes that were aired back in January 2025.
It was later revealed that he was the son of Mick and Lou Michaelis, who caused nothing but trouble when they moved onto the cobbles, and the pair currently find themselves behind bars - with Mick carrying out the shock murder of PC Craig Tinker, while Lou was found out to have attacked Gary Windass.
Brody's family revelations
Brody and his younger siblings, Joanie and Shanice, have since been in the care of the popular cobbles couple, Sally and Tim Metcalfe, and during that time, the teen has discovered that Kit is his biological father.
And as Corrie fans know, Kit was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, which had spread to his lymph nodes. The diagnosis also came off the back of the death of Kit's great-aunt, Celeste. Before she died, she informed Kit's half-sister, Gemma Winter-Brown, that the family may carry the BRCA gene.
Carrying a familial BRCA (Breast Cancer) gene mutation means inheriting a harmful change in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes from a parent, which significantly raises your lifetime risk of developing certain cancers.
Emotional hospital scenes
It's only recently that Kit told his family the news of his own diagnosis, having been privately undergoing testing following concerns for his own health. The news has since spread further, with Kit coming clean to Bethany Platt as she put pressure on him to help her mum, and his former partner, Sarah Platt, as she's set to face trial for the murder of Theo Silverton.
During Monday's (October 12) edition of Corrie, there were emotional scenes as Kit was seen preparing to start his cancer treatment. Having decided to shave his head before losing his hair, Brody joined his father at the flat in a moving show of support. Later, at the hospital, Kit was joined by Bernie as his treatment got underway, with the pair seen reminiscing about his childhood.
Later, Brody spent time with Kit and became upset thinking about not having him around, calling him 'dad' for the first time since they were revealed to be father and son.
Fan predictions for Brody
While Corrie fans spoke about the emotional scenes online, others also made a separate prediction when it comes to Brody.
@messasaurusjess said: "Brody calling Kit 'Dad'. Can't wait until Betsy starts calling him that too when Betsy and Brody get married in 2-3 years just to annoy Carla and Lisa <3 #Corrie #swarla." @Raudedauden replied: "And have a kid named Christopher."
@Fake_TV_Chef previously predicted: "If Betsy and Brody do grow close (as per Sydney), maybe it's because she supports him through Kit's cancer—having gone through it herself with the "relative" Lisa mentioned (which could be Lisa). It also comes after actress Sydney Martin was heard teasing a new romance for Betsy as she admitted that there's chemistry that's 'not been discovered' yet in the long-running show.
