Emotional scenes in the ITV soap this week saw Ryan Connor discover the unconscious teen on the kitchen floor at No.6 Coronation Street, leading to a frantic Carla Connor-Swain being taken to her wife, Lisa Connor-Swain, as they kept vigil by Betsy's bedside.
Stroke Diagnosis and Second Attack
Doctors confirmed that Betsy had suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot, resulting from neck artery damage due to temporary loss of circulation. After her condition appeared to stabilize, Betsy suffered a second stroke while being visited by her boyfriend, Dylan Wilson. Following further tests, an embarrassed Betsy revealed that Dylan had strangled her during consensual sex, though both believed the pressure applied was minimal. Lisa was horrified and later reported Dylan to the police, despite Betsy's pleas not to blame him.
