Coleen Rooney has deleted a response to a troll after facing backlash for taking her children to an Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium. The 39-year-old I'm A Celebrity star shared a picture of her sons Klay, 12, Kit, nine, and Cass, seven, alongside husband Wayne, watching Liam and Noel Gallagher from a VIP section. Their eldest son Kai, 15, was not present.
While the family had an 'unbelievable' night, many trolls criticised the WAG for bringing her young children to the show, arguing that 'real die-hard fans' had been unable to secure tickets for the sold-out performances. One commenter wrote: 'Definitely something you should have done on your own. The kids being there is ridiculous. So many die-hard fans couldn't get tickets, and they wouldn't know them if they fell over them.'
Coleen initially hit back by re-sharing the negative comment late at night, adding: 'He’s a big fan' along with a laughing emoji. However, the post was later deleted. Most other comments were supportive, with one user writing: 'What a lovely photo.' Another defended her, saying: 'There were loads of people taking their kids! I went to see them at Edinburgh - a real mix of ages - why shouldn’t anyone take their kids?'
The incident comes amid reports that Coleen is determined to be recognised as more than just a footballer's wife. An insider claimed she is 'sick of hearing that she would be nothing without Wayne or she only stays for the money,' noting that she is now a multimillionaire in her own right. The source added that she was the driving force behind the couple's new Disney+ deal, saying: 'I’m A Celeb proved that she’s just as big a star as Wayne. It’s the ultimate revenge on her doubters.'
