England and Manchester City football sensation Chloe Kelly has opened up about her hilariously awkward first date with now-husband Scott Moore – and it's every bit as relatable as you'd expect.
The Women's Super League star, known for her electrifying performances on the pitch, admitted she was struck by nerves when first meeting her future husband. "I was so nervous I could barely eat!" Kelly revealed in a recent interview.
Dinner Date Disaster Turned Fairytale
The Lioness recalled how their romantic dinner nearly turned into a comedy of errors. "I ordered pasta but spent so much time talking I barely touched it," she confessed. "Scott probably thought I didn't like the food!"
Despite the initial jitters, the couple clearly hit it off. They tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony last year, with several of Kelly's England teammates in attendance.
From First Date to Forever
The footballer shared how their relationship blossomed from that nervous first encounter to building a life together. "We laugh about that date now," Kelly said. "It just shows even when things don't go perfectly, they can still work out wonderfully."
Kelly, who scored the winning goal in the 2022 Euros final, credits her husband with being her rock during both professional highs and personal challenges. "Having that support system makes all the difference," she added.
