The Lionesses star Chloe Kelly, who scored the winning goal in the Euro 2022 final, has revealed the unusual setting of her first date with husband Scott Moore: a trip to IKEA. The couple met when Kelly was playing for Everton and Moore was a groundsman at the club. Their connection sparked after Kelly held a door open for him, leading to an Instagram message and their first date at the Swedish furniture retailer.
Despite IKEA not being a traditional romantic spot, the date worked its magic. Moore proposed to Kelly in 2023 while they were in Finland watching the Northern Lights. Kelly described it as 'the easiest YES' on Instagram. They married in 2024 at Merrydale Manor in Cheshire, with Kelly wearing a Galia Lahav gown.
Moore, now a greenkeeper at a golf club, attends all of Kelly's important matches to support her. During the current UEFA Women's Euro 2025 campaign, Kelly admitted she forgot their first wedding anniversary due to her focus on the tournament, saying she hadn't even bought a card yet.
