Cheryl fans demand iconic pyjamas after Deliveroo milk advert

Cheryl fans have been sent into a frenzy, desperate to get their hands on her iconic merchandise after the singer showed off a special new look in a Deliveroo advert.

The Girls Aloud star has teamed up with the delivery giant to recreate one of her most famous interviews, 17 years after making a confession about the price of fame that went on to become an internet sensation.

Recreating the 2009 milk meme

Back in 2009, Cheryl revealed she could no longer nip to the garage in her pyjamas to pick up a pint of milk, even if she wanted to. The hilarious admission has lived on as one of the internet's most reposted celebrity memes, with the quote regularly popping up across social media and becoming a popular TikTok sound.

Now, Cheryl has given the moment a makeover in a new campaign celebrating Tesco's launch on Deliveroo. In the clip, she is seen relaxing in a pair of silky teal pyjamas, with a fresh pint of milk delivered straight to her door.

Fans demand the limited-edition bundle

But it seems fans have been just as interested in her outfit as they have in the nostalgic advert. Commenting beneath the campaign video, one fan asked: "Cheryl merch?" Another wrote: "Omg so cute! How do I get this?"

The pyjamas are part of a limited-edition 'Cheryl-Skimmed' bundle created for the campaign, which also includes a ceramic milk jug hand-signed by the singer. The unusual keepsakes have sparked excitement among Girls Aloud supporters, with fans discussing the merchandise on the band's subreddit and asking how they can get their hands on it.

Cheryl on the meme's lasting appeal

Cheryl said: "Who knew a little confession in 2009 would have this kind of shelf life? I can't believe it's still doing the rounds, but we've had a good laugh giving it a glow up all these years later."

"At least I no longer have that dilemma with Tesco now on Deliveroo - so nothing stands between me and my morning cuppa."

The campaign marks Tesco's expansion on Deliveroo, with thousands of products available through the app, including fresh food, household essentials and its popular Meal Deal.

The Cheryl-Skimmed bundle was offered as part of a prize draw for customers ordering Tesco through Deliveroo between October 28 and 30, with a minimum spend of £15 applying. The promotional period has now ended.
