Cher Lloyd Says Wedding Ring Is 'In the Bin' After 13-Year Marriage

X Factor star Cher Lloyd has ignited speculation that her 13-year marriage to hairstylist Craig Monk is over after she told fans her wedding ring is 'in the bin'. The 32-year-old singer, known for hits like 'Swagger Jagger', secretly married Monk, 35, in November 2013, less than a year after they met at a hair salon.

Missing Ring Sparks Fan Questions

In an Instagram carousel posted this week, fans noticed Lloyd was not wearing her wedding ring. One commented, 'I have many questions, where is your wedding ring?' Lloyd replied bluntly: 'It's in the [bin emoji].' The post also included a crying baby photo as the fifth slide, captioned 'Slide 5 Vibe', suggesting the split has been emotional.

Whirlwind Romance and Family Life

Lloyd and Monk have two daughters: Delilah-Rae, seven, and Eliza Violet, two. Monk also has a daughter from a previous relationship. In a 2014 interview with Metro, Lloyd recalled meeting him: 'I went to a hair salon... I wanted to go for a cigarette, but I couldn't go out the front because it was swimming with paparazzi. He was the only one who could take me out the back.' She later told ITV's Lorraine: 'I'm so lucky. We're definitely a solid team... As soon as I met him, I just knew he was the one straight away.'

Recent Heartbreak Following Father's Death

The divorce rumors come just three months after Lloyd's father Darren passed away in April 2026. She announced his death on social media: 'Life will never be the same again. I've never felt pain like this. My Dad, I love you. Goodnight 10.03.73 – 11.04.26.' In 2020, she revealed her father was 'seriously unwell' and hospitalized twice during the pandemic, calling the separation 'the hardest thing'.

Musical Comeback Teased

Lloyd rose to fame on The X Factor in 2010, finishing fourth under mentor Cheryl Cole. She signed with Syco and released hits like 'Want U Back', collaborating with Demi Lovato and Becky G. After her 2014 album 'Sorry I'm Late', she stepped back from music. In January, she told Metro she had her 'spark back' after leaving a major label and was ready to release new music. Fans have urged her to drop new tracks, and she replied to one comment: 'it's comingggg'.

Representatives for Cher Lloyd have been contacted for comment.
