Charlotte Crosby Quits Aussie Shore to Focus on Motherhood
Charlotte Crosby Quits Aussie Shore for Family Time

Charlotte Crosby has revealed why she decided to leave Aussie Shore, the spin-off reality show that brought her back to screens Down Under. The 35-year-old star, who first rose to fame on Geordie Shore in 2011, has stepped down from her role as the show's 'boss' to prioritise time with her young daughters.

Family First

Crosby, who is mother to three-year-old Alba Jean and 15-month-old Pixi with fiancé Jake Ankers, explained that her priorities have shifted since becoming a parent. Speaking to The Sun, she said: 'No, I'm no longer doing it, I think they've got someone a bit closer to Australia and I had other commitments that clashed. I think I'll still be involved in some ways.'

She added: 'I've just had Pixi, she's not that old and it's just about navigating what I want to do next. I feel like I'm in such a different space now, I'm a mum, I've got two beautiful girls, my purpose is different. My sense of being is different, everything just changes when you become a mum.'

Career Highlights

Crosby's television career includes winning Celebrity Big Brother, starring in her own MTV series The Charlotte Show, and presenting Just Tattoo of Us for three years. She has also authored books and launched fashion lines. However, she now values family above all else.

'I love presenting, but one thing that I don't want to do… my kids are still really young and I don't want to do anything that's going to keep us away from them when they're so tiny. You never get these years back,' she stated.

Recent Health Scare

The announcement follows a recent hospitalisation. Crosby shared on Instagram that she spent six hours in urgent care during a girls' trip to London, describing the past few months as 'rough'. In January, she was also hospitalised after a family holiday to the Maldives, where she fell ill with vomiting and weakness, and later required oxygen in a Dubai hospital.

Crosby remains positive about the future, hinting at continued involvement with Aussie Shore in a reduced capacity while focusing on her growing family.
