Cat Deeley has made her return to ITV's This Morning following her separation from Patrick Kielty, appearing upbeat as she discussed her summer break. The 48-year-old presenter told viewers she had a “lovely summer” filled with “lots of beach action, family, friends, kids” and “ice creams as big as your head”.
Deeley, who co-hosts the daytime programme alongside Ben Shephard, said she was “really excited to come back to work” after the extended time off. She and Kielty announced their divorce in July after 13 years of marriage, issuing a joint statement that stressed there was “no other party involved” in their decision to separate.
The couple, who share two sons Milo, eight, and James, six, said they would “continue to be united as loving parents” and asked for privacy. Deeley and Kielty first met while hosting Fame Academy together in 2002 and 2003, later marrying in Rome in September 2012. They lived in Los Angeles for over a decade before returning to London.
Deeley took over as This Morning host in early 2024, describing the show as “a national institution”. She previously fronted SM:TV Live and the US series So You Think You Can Dance, for which she received five Emmy nominations.
