Carys Douglas Stuns in Mother Catherine Zeta-Jones' Vintage Gown at Moma Gala

Carys Douglas was the image of her mother, Catherine Zeta-Jones, at the 2025 PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala on Tuesday night. The 22-year-old attended the event with her father, Michael Douglas, wearing the same black gown that Zeta-Jones had worn to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in 2005. The dress features a sparkling black bodice with butterfly embellishments and spaghetti straps.

Carys paired the gown with simple black heels and dangling earrings, styling her brunette hair in a blowout. Her mother had originally worn the dress with embellished sandals, a diamond drop necklace and diamond hoops. The Brown University graduate told People that she often borrows from her mother's wardrobe, saying, 'I feel very lucky that I have a wonderful closet that I can pick from.'

This is not the first time Carys has worn one of her mother's vintage pieces. For her 21st birthday in 2024, she wore the embellished pink Ungaro gown that Zeta-Jones had worn to the 1999 MTV Movie Awards. Despite borrowing from her mother, Zeta-Jones told Town & Country that Carys has her own style, adding, 'She's modern but age-appropriate.'

Carys, who graduated from Brown University in May with a degree in Film and International Relations, has begun her acting career with a role in the 2024 short film [Expletive] That Guy. She expressed a desire to avoid the 'nepo baby' label, telling Town & Country, 'I feel I need to constantly prove myself to people – that I am not just my parents' daughter.'
