Billionaire biohacker Bryan Johnson, who has shared detailed reports on his sperm and his wife's vagina, has now declared that talking about poo in public is 'too much information'.
Johnson's reaction to New York Times article
The 48-year-old, known for his quest to live forever, appeared to criticise a New York Times article in which the writer detailed his experiences on a carnivore diet, discussing the impact of eating only meats, cheeses, and ferments on the bowels. The article mentioned the 'nearly orgasmic' feeling of pooing and claimed toilet paper is unnecessary.
Johnson responded on X, saying: "This is too much. Talking about bowel movements in public is TMI."
Online backlash and hypocrisy accusations
The tweet drew a furious response, with users pointing out Johnson's history of sharing intimate bodily details. One wrote: "TMI is rich coming from you", while another added: "says the blokes that posts about the bacteria in his wife's *****" and a third joked: "Sir. You have published data about your nightly erections."
Johnson has frequently commented on poo-related topics, suggesting his post may have been tongue-in-cheek. In August 2025, he wrote that "your poop is a report card" and that constipation or bloating isn't normal, adding that gut bacteria influences mood and that people with diverse microbiomes poop more consistently and have lower rates of depression.
Background on Johnson's health disclosures
The venture capitalist has also written extensively about his gut health, particularly after being diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis, a chronic condition where the immune system attacks acid-producing cells in the stomach lining. Johnson has described the condition as 'incurable' and involving his "stomach eating itself".
