Brooklyn Beckham's Anniversary Post Sparks Family Feud Speculation

Brooklyn Beckham appeared to make a sly dig at his famous parents while celebrating his anniversary with wife Nicola Peltz. The 27-year-old and Nicola, 31, narrowly avoided seeing his estranged parents David and Victoria Beckham earlier this week while on holiday in St Tropez.

Brooklyn, who previously accused his parents of trying to “endlessly ruin” his marriage, is thought to have alluded to the rift as he vowed to “always protect” Nicola. The budding chef shared photos of them smiling and hugging each other on Instagram and wrote: “Happy anniversary Nicola I can’t tell you how much I love you x “You are my best friend and I love you more than life itself xx I am so lucky to be able to call you my wife xx You are my absolute princess and I promise to always protect you xx.”

Nicola's Response

The US actress wrote in her own post: “Happy anniversary my love. You make life so beautiful. Thank you for being the most amazing husband i could ever dream of.” Brooklyn commented with two heart emojis.

Family Rift Continues

The budding entrepreneur’s post comes after he skipped his family’s annual holiday on their private yacht for the second year running. Instead, he and Nicola joined Elton John, who is Brooklyn’s godfather, on his yacht on the coast near Nice, while David and Victoria holidayed just 75 miles away in St Tropez.

He has not spoken to his family for more than a year and in January, he issued a blistering, multi-page statement to say he was cutting them off. He accused his “controlling” parents of trying to “ruin” his marriage to Peltz and being all about the public narrative and “Brand Beckham”.

Wedding Grievances

Brooklyn claimed relations became strained around the time of his 2022 wedding to Nicola. He accused Victoria of pulling out of making Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute and dancing “inappropriately on him” at the wedding. He also criticised his father David, claiming that despite travelling to the UK for David’s 50th birthday, repeated requests to meet beforehand were ignored. The influencer claimed he was eventually offered a meeting on the condition that Nicola was not invited.

Public Mockery

In June, he appeared to mock his family feud in a DoorDash commercial. He said in the commercial: “You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home.“It’s not like I don’t have tickets. Um… it’s because… it’s a long story.” His remarks were branded “distasteful” by his fans, with some claiming he was “cashing in” on his father’s work. Sources claimed his parents were “inconsolable” over the campaign with the US food delivery company and “shocked” that he would treat their rift as a “joke”.
