Brooklyn Beckham Snubs David on Father's Day, Celebrates Father-in-Law

Brooklyn Beckham has dealt his father David Beckham another blow by failing to publicly acknowledge him on Father's Day, while posting a heartfelt birthday tribute to his father-in-law, Nelson Peltz. The 27-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday, June 24, to wish his wife Nicola's father a happy birthday, writing: 'Happy birthday Nelson x I love u so much. I'm so happy I could celebrate you today! Thank you for being the best father in law.'

David's Father's Day Tribute Ignored

Sir David, 51, had posted a sweet Father's Day tribute on Sunday, June 21, featuring a series of family photos, including throwback images of himself with Brooklyn as a young child and a group shot with all four of his children—Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. He wrote: 'Being a dad is my most important job - I love you all and thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads around the world.' Despite this olive branch, Brooklyn did not acknowledge his father on social media.

Family Feud Escalates

The snub comes amid a long-running feud between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. In January, Brooklyn released a statement accusing his parents of trying to 'ruin' his relationship with Nicola and claiming he has 'no plans to reconcile' with them. He wrote: 'I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.' He added: 'For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.'

Victoria Beckham's Attempt at Reconciliation

Victoria Beckham also reached out to Brooklyn by including him in her own Father's Day tribute to David. The fashion designer posted an old family snap showing David surrounded by all four children, writing: 'David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father's Day.' Despite these gestures, Brooklyn has remained estranged from the Beckhams, with no public acknowledgment of his parents since his January statement.
