A British woman has died in Spain just weeks after a devastating wildfire left her and her partner in critical condition.
Lisa Fryett and Simon Batchelor, both from Essex, were staying near Bédar and Los Gallardos in Spain when the blaze broke out in nearby villages.
Critical injuries and tragic loss
The couple were rescued from the fire and rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following the blaze on July 14. A GoFundMe update from a page set up to support the family confirmed that Lisa has since passed away, surrounded by her family in Spain.
