Brandi Glanville has opened up about her fears that she may have contracted a sexually transmitted form of ringworm, sharing her concerns during a candid conversation on her podcast, the Brandi Unfiltered Show. The 53-year-old former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star discussed the matter with guest Lisa Ann, a former adult film actress, revealing her belief that the infection might be lodged in her throat.
A Shocking Confession
During the episode, Brandi asked Lisa Ann directly, “I have a quick question. Have you heard about sexually transmitted ringworm? I feel like I have it… in my throat.” She explained that she suspects she caught the condition after dating someone involved in the adult entertainment industry. Brandi elaborated, “He would only, you know, my face… because he didn’t want to get me pregnant. He didn’t know that ship had sailed. I’m like, ‘OK, whatever, I’m not going to correct you. Alright honey.’ And in my mouth in all that, [then] my girlfriend told me about it yesterday. I knew nothing about it.”
Medical Examinations and Concerns
The reality star revealed that she has undergone multiple tests for sexually transmitted infections in her throat, all of which came back negative. However, she remains concerned about the possibility of ringworm. “I really just heard about ringworm yesterday, and they can apparently burrow in, like, if it’s in your throat. If it’s in your throat, they can burrow deep into your ears and all that,” she said.
Lisa Ann responded by noting that sexually transmitted ringworm is often overlooked. “It’s one of those things that most people don’t know what to look for,” she said, adding that makeup artists in the adult industry are trained to inspect performers for patches because the condition is highly contagious.
Ongoing Health Struggles
This is not the first time Brandi has spoken publicly about her health challenges. She has previously attributed a facial disfigurement to a parasite and revealed that her breast implants had ruptured, causing silicone to spread to her lymph nodes. “That’s what caused the infection in my face; it couldn’t get out as my lymph nodes were all clogged,” she explained. Brandi admitted she had not replaced her implants for 20 years, despite recommendations to do so every decade. “I thought if it’s broke, don’t fix it, but I learnt a really, really hard lesson,” she added.
Recovery and Fresh Start
In December 2025, Brandi shared updates on her recovery, stating, “It’s been a slow process, but I’m finally getting back to my normal routine and feeling like myself again.” She also moved to a new home, which she said helped her “reset and focus on creating a calmer, more positive environment.” Brandi is currently filming a YouTube series and working on various new projects, expressing excitement about exploring new platforms and creative avenues.
