Former The Only Way Is Essex star Bobby Norris has revealed he is back in hospital months after undergoing a face and neck lift. The reality star took to Instagram to share the news, praising NHS workers as 'Angels on Earth'.
Hospital Stay and Claustrophobia
On Instagram, Norris said: 'So just at the hospital and I've just been spit roasted like a pig in a blanket in that toilet roll thing. My God, hotter than hell. But I've just got to say, thoughts and prayers to everyone who's having test procedures and surgery in this weather.'
He added: 'What we can confirm from the test today is that the claustrophobia is real and I won't be doing a Katy Perry anytime soon. Got no interest in going to space in a metal tube, cause I hate that machine thing. I don't get why you'd want to go anyway, it's not like there's any shops or a decent hotel.'
Previous Cosmetic Surgery
The hospital visit comes months after his decision to undergo cosmetic surgery divided his followers. He appeared on This Morning to share the results of an extensive facelift he had undergone before turning 40. Norris explained that the surgery was 'a way of correcting my stupidity of abusing fillers', after finding himself stuck in a vicious cycle.
'I was really abusing fillers for a 10-year window,' he revealed on the programme, admitting it left his skin 'stretched out and baggy' which he felt required more filler to address. 'So I literally just kept doing more,' he added.
Warnings About Fillers
In a candid chat with the Mirror, Norris opened up about the overuse of fillers. He said: 'I can't give too much advice because I'm not a doctor, but I'd say don't go so stupid with it. I would go every three months and ask for more, more, more. Listen to the doctor more than I did.'
In 2022, Norris, who had left TOWIE the previous year, opted to dissolve his fillers, reverting to a more natural appearance. Explaining his decision to his followers, the radio presenter said: 'I dissolved them all after Christmas, and I haven't got any Botox in either, all natural.'
Body Image Struggles
Norris previously revealed his struggles with body image to the Daily Mail. He said: 'I was self-conscious comparing myself to the other guys [on TOWIE] because they were like Adonis's, they were chiselled, muscular and fair play to them it wasn't their fault, they weren't making me feel that way... it was my own insecurities. I am proud because I look back to where I was at, and I know where I am now.'
