EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has opened up about his relationship with his younger brother Freddy, admitting there are aspects of his sibling's personality he does not like. The 22-year-old actor, who is set to leave the BBC soap, spoke candidly about family dynamics in a recent interview.
Bobby, who plays Freddie Slater on the show, said his 20-year-old brother Freddy needs to 'grow up' amid an ongoing feud with their father, Jeff Brazier. The brothers have been in the public eye since childhood, following the death of their mother, Big Brother star Jade Goody, in 2009.
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday, Bobby stated: 'When he grows up a little bit that will serve him well. There are things I don't like about him and there are things about me he doesn't like.' He added that Freddy is 'very sensitive and wants to please' and expressed confidence that his brother will be fine.
The comments come amid reports that Jeff Brazier, 46, is attempting to legally block contact between Freddy and his maternal grandmother, Jackiey Budden, 68. Freddy is currently living with Jackiey, with whom Jeff has reportedly been in dispute over his son's close relationship.
Jeff has previously spoken about the impact of Jade's death on the family, telling The Sun on Sunday: 'To lose the mother of your children is a huge trauma that, of course, shapes your life.' Bobby's departure from EastEnders was confirmed last month, with his final scenes expected to air later this year.
