Blue Peter's Tim Vincent on Hollywood Move and Regrets

Former Blue Peter presenter Tim Vincent has opened up about his move to Hollywood and his career regrets. The 51-year-old, who became the 21st Blue Peter presenter in 1993, spent five years on the show before moving to the United States to host Access Hollywood.

Vincent, born in Wrexham, Wales, was offered the Blue Peter job while on a gap year in his early 20s. He told Wales Online: 'I have no regrets about not going to university – those three years on Blue Peter were my education in TV presenting and filming and I had an amazing time.'

After his stint on Blue Peter, Vincent acted in shows such as Children's Ward, Dangerfield and Emmerdale, before landing a role on Access Hollywood. He moved to New York and later Los Angeles, where he interviewed A-list stars including Angelina Jolie, Bruce Willis and Robert De Niro. De Niro gave him the nickname 'Tolerable Tim'.
