Blake Lively Returns to Instagram Amid Ongoing Controversy

Blake Lively has made her return to Instagram after weeks of silence, posting her first update since the controversy surrounding the film It Ends With Us erupted. The actress, who had paused social media activity and disabled comments amid online backlash, shared a series of images promoting her haircare brand, Blake Brown Beauty.

The post, captioned with a light-hearted remark about the product, has garnered over one million likes. Among the first to show support was her husband, Ryan Reynolds, who sources say is working closely with Lively’s team to reframe her public image.

The controversy began with criticism over Lively’s handling of the film’s domestic abuse themes, including a perceived lack of focus on the issue in interviews and the launch of a haircare brand during the publicity campaign. A resurfaced 2016 interview with journalist Kjersti Flaa, described as making her “want to quit my job,” further fuelled the backlash.

Despite the criticism, Lively has not directly addressed the drama. However, friends and family members have spoken out in her defence. The actress’s return to social media marks a tentative step back into the spotlight, with her husband reportedly playing a key role in managing the situation.
