Lee Carter, a 58-year-old British man from Clacton, Essex, who underwent a £60,000 bionic penis construction, has found his “soulmate” 14 years after the surgery and is now considering marriage. Formerly known as Lisa, Carter spent 40 years feeling trapped in the wrong body and began gender reassignment surgery on the NHS in 2008, a process that coincided with a series of encounters with UFOs and “angels” from a “spirit realm.” The penis was constructed using skin from his arm, and he uses a pump fitted inside a silicone testicle to achieve erections during sex.

Carter met American entrepreneur Aymee Rodriguez, from North Carolina, in London in 2020. Before meeting Rodriguez, Carter lost his virginity in 2017 to Leanne, a mother of two, after reading his story. The relationship lasted 18 months before they split, with Carter saying it “wasn’t the right fit.” He described the experience as “incredible and we both enjoyed it so much we didn’t stop all night.”

Carter struggled with gender dysphoria for 40 years, feeling trapped in the wrong body. In 2008, at age 40, he began therapy and hormone treatment as part of the gender reassignment process. Over the next four years, he underwent removal of his 36D breasts and womb, and had a cutting-edge penis built using skin from his arm. During this period, he claims to have had multiple encounters with UFOs, including one at his mother’s house in Clacton-on-Sea. “I stayed with her… and then we woke up at three in the morning and there were lots of flashing lights and UFOs outside the back window of the house,” Carter said. “My mum doesn't sleep very well because of her age and she said to me ‘Oh my God’. She saw it with me and she said ‘wow, you’re telepathetic with them’ and I said ‘I know’ and it happens quite a lot.” He also described seeing UFOs in broad daylight: “They’re not planes, they're not technically mechanically from here - I was being followed to the shop even.” These experiences provided “profound clarity and purpose,” convincing him he was on the right path.
Current Life and Future Plans
Now in his final year of a Psychology degree at the University of Essex, Carter has written two books about his journey and hopes to turn his story into a film. His groundbreaking penis remains in perfect working condition. When asked about potentially living in Trump’s America, Carter responded, “It doesn't bother me wherever I am, I will adapt to anywhere in the world - I'm very likeable. It doesn't matter where I go, I always adapt - no matter where it is. None of that bothers me, I'm like a spiritual warrior here, and with everything I've been through I've been prepared.”
