Justin Bieber's Grammys Performance: A Strategic Nod to His Fashion Brand

Justin Bieber turned heads at the 2026 Grammy Awards with a minimalist performance, appearing on stage in only satin lavender boxer shorts and diamante-covered black socks. The singer performed his track “Yukon” from the Grammy-nominated album Swag, using the moment to subtly promote his fashion label Skylrk, whose double-blob logo was embroidered on the boxers.

Bieber launched Skylrk in January, offering reimagined basics such as $250 pleated jeans, $200 sunglasses and $80 slides. The brand has been teased over the past year with prototypes of furniture, sneakers and sandals shared on social media. Last month, Bieber posted an image of unreleased trainers, noting: “The tongue is creasing gotta fix that.”

The singer arrived on the red carpet in a custom Balenciaga suit, accessorised with an “ICE Out” pin in solidarity with anti-ICE protests across the US, particularly in Minneapolis following the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. His wife, Hailey, also wore a black ensemble with a matching pin.

Bieber was nominated for four Grammys, including Album of the Year for Swag, but lost to Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Mas Fotos. The Puerto Rican artist dedicated his win to immigrants who “leave their home, land, their country, to follow their dreams.”

Swag is Bieber’s first studio album since 2021’s Justice. Despite mixed critical reception, it resonated with fans, featuring tracks like “Daisies”, “Yukon” and “Butterflies”. A press release described the album as inspired by Bieber’s “devotion as a husband and father,” resulting in “some of his most personal music yet.”
