David Beckham and his mother Sandra were among the celebrities in the Royal Box on the opening day of Wimbledon, as temperatures soared to 35C at the All England Club.
The former England footballer is a regular at the championships, often bringing his mother along. Other notable guests included actor Eddie Redmayne with his wife Hannah, and the Duchess of York with her eldest daughter.
The Royal Box, which has 74 exclusive seats, has been used for entertaining friends and guests of Wimbledon since 1922. Invitations are sent by the Chairman of the All England Club, with suggestions from the Organising Committee and the Lawn Tennis Association.
Among the sports stars present were former England cricketer Stuart Broad with his wife, pop star Mollie King, and Boyzone singer Ronan Keating with his wife Storm. White Lotus actor Jason Isaacs and Pointless presenter Richard Osman also watched from the box.
On the court, Emma Raducanu and defending men's champion Carlos Alcaraz were highlights of the opening day. World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka is the favourite for the women's title, with Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff among the leading contenders.
