The 2026 Wimbledon Championships opened on Monday with a star-studded Royal Box, led by Sir David Beckham and his mother Sandra Beckham, as defending men's champion Jannik Sinner started his title defence against Miomir Kecmanovic on Centre Court.

Celebrity Arrivals and Royal Box Line-Up

David Beckham, 51, attended with his mother Sandra, wearing a grey double-breasted suit, white shirt, and camel-coloured tie. Behind him sat Classic FM host Alexander Armstrong. The football icon's appearance comes amid reports of an ongoing rift with his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.

Other notable attendees included Dame Mary Berry in a pale pink dress, former One Direction star Niall Horan, Canadian actor Alexander Ludwig and his wife Lauren, and singer Katherine Jenkins, 46, who wore a white dress with bright blue dots. Amanda Holden chose a fitted pinstripe dress with thick black straps and oversized shades.

TV Personalities and Sports Stars

Newly separated Tess Daly attended with her close friend and business partner Gayle Lawton, wearing a tennis-white fitted dress. Former BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, who left the broadcaster earlier this year after nearly three decades, was spotted with husband Steve Randall.

Presenter AJ Odudu looked stunning in a pale yellow dress, alongside singer Ronan Keating and his wife Storm Keating. S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens wore a black off-the-shoulder dress with a large cream print and raffia clutch bag.

Fashion and Tennis Theme

Former Love Island star Maura Higgins embraced the tennis theme with a white mini dress and white heels featuring faux green tennis balls. Boyzone star Ronan Keating and presenter AJ Odudu were also clearly enjoying the action.

Royal Box History and Exclusivity

The Royal Box, which has hosted invited guests since 1922, remains one of the most exclusive seats in British sport, welcoming members of the royal family, sporting legends, and celebrities throughout the Championships. It has only 74 seats, making tickets extremely limited.

Novak Djokovic, Aryna Sabalenka, and other top players were also in action on the opening day as another fortnight of tennis got underway at the All England Club.
