Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, husband of Princess Beatrice, broke a family tradition by not posting a tribute for their sixth wedding anniversary on Instagram on July 17, 2026. As of 8:30 pm, his account remained silent, marking the first time he has skipped the milestone since 2022.
Anniversary Traditions
Beatrice and Edoardo married on July 17, 2020, at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor. The property developer has marked four of his five wedding anniversaries online, missing only the second in 2022. Last year, he shared a photo of the couple by the sea in Scotland with a caption: “Happy 5th Anniversary to my incredible partner, the most beautiful and amazing wife. I cherish every moment we’ve spent together and am deeply grateful for our journey. Here’s to countless more years filled with laughter and tons of love!”
Recent Family Challenges
The princess has faced a difficult year following her father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest on February 19, 2026, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was released after about 11 hours. Andrew has denied wrongdoing related to his association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Beatrice has remained largely out of the public eye since the arrest, making only a few appearances, including at the wedding of Peter and Harriet Phillips on June 6.
On June 25, Beatrice was seen walking in Mayfair, London, during a heatwave with temperatures reaching 37.3°C. She wore a green and white striped Cefinn Studio belted midi dress and pointed Mary Jane flats from Rothy's. Both Beatrice and her sister Eugenie skipped Trooping the Colour on June 13.
